With rampant fraud and abuse in the financial services industry by professionals who are entrusted with investor accounts, Investor Concepts endorses organizations that seek to protect investors from shady operators. Dishonest and unscrupulous investment brokers come in all sizes, both large and small. Large brokerage firms who have paid outrageous fines for dishonest business practices are as guilty of creating investor mistrust as those that act alone. On of the most valuable ot organizations that protect the interest of individual investors is the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Through the FINRA website, investors can perform a background check of their existing or prospective broker, financial planner or prospective financial advisor through its "Broker Check" search service. XE.com's Universal Currency Converter contains the top 85 currencies sorted by country name - listing the ten most popular currencies first. Special units and precious metals are listed both alphabetically and separately, at the end of this list. For every world currency, use to the XE Full Universal Currency Converter. The UCC lists "wholesale" rates, so if you decide to do the smart thing and get rid of your dollars and exchange them euros or other "performing" currencies there will be a small service fee involved. Banks are the worst. Do not exchange your dollars with a bank. You will end up having to wait over a week, and you will pay a ridiculous service fee. Indepedent currency exchange operators exist in every major city. Make sure you do a little research in advance.
